I’m Jean Wyatt, and since retiring, I have written three very different books.

My latest, Becoming the Biking Burketts, shines a light on the struggles of a fictional family, told through the eyes of young Daniel.

The family is falling apart because of the father’s heavy drinking. When he injures Daniel’s best friend in a drink-driving accident and is sent to prison, everything changes.

Despite these difficult themes, the story is filled with hope as broken relationships begin to heal. Faith plays a role, and the family discovers new joy as they come together through cycling.
